Darling I'm too cute to spook....

Hello there blogger friends,

Over at www.mybestiesuk.blogspot.co.uk there is another great challenge with the chance to win a wonderful Bestie digi image or two.  This time it also includes a blog hop with yet another chance to win. You have to make a card or project keeping in mind "too cute to spook". This is what I have decided to make.

The card is a 6x6 white blank. I used a piece of lavender gingham paper straight down this time, I did some dots and dashes with lavender glitter pen around the edge. I chose this digi as she just looks like maybe she is too grown up to go out trick or treating you know that 13 year old thing!!
I coloured her in using my promarkers and cut her out using the Spellbinder hexagon die and scallop hexagon too, I cut out 2 SB leaves and after embossing I inked using dusty concord. I added some ribbon flowers I have just been given and popped them with a black leaf.
She has a black gem in her hair and the pumpkin is a button I have had for years.

Thanks for looking in today.

Bestie Challenge Background Stamp

Good morning,

Here is a card I have made for this weeks Bestie Challenge.  They would like you to make a card using a stamp as a background but add a Bestie.

I was lucky enough to come in the top 3 the week before last and win 3 digi's. This is one I chose she is so cute. I coloured her in using my Promarkers and cut her out using a SB die then matted her twice on Kaisercraft paper.

I have made my usual 6x6 card and added a sheet of Papermainia Christmas flourish paper which I ran through the GC first then inked over. I stamped out the tree from Verve "O Christmas Tree" set  and the around the edge I stamped "how lovely are thy branches" and the sentiment too, I just love this set. I added 2 card candy dots and that was that.

Thanks for looking in today.

Bestie Kids or Babies Challenge

I thought I'd join in again this week over at www.bestiechallenge.blogspot.co.uk where the challenge is make a card or project for a child or baby using a Bestie image.
I decided to use this cute little girl in her party dress ready to dive in to her cake.

I made the card a 6x6 to give me plenty of space to work on. I covered the card using some free papers in fact all the papers were from the same kit. I added the buttons, ribbon and flourishes to bring in alive. I ran the centre panel through a embossing folder to give the effect of bubbles and cut the ends using a Spellbinder boarder. I thought the flourishes looked like party streamers. I coloured her in using Pro markers. Oh also on the pom-pom and rim of her hat I used white flock, I hope
you can see it from your view.

Thanks for looking in today.

All about the night...Challenge 121

Well it is Saturday so that tells it is time for another challenge over at www.myshericrafts.com and this time design team member Charlotte has asked us to create a card or project with night time as the theme.

I came up with this one which I am thinking could be a Halloween card it just needs a sentiment somewhere.

This card is a 5x5 which I removed a strip at the side and replaced with the orange which I first ran through an embossing folder. I used the bakers twine lighten it up.

The image is by Shena Douglas which I stamped and embossed in her WOW black powder  I coloured the tree in using a pencil. Then using a sheet of paper I made the hills, then covered them up and added the sky. I added the little bushes at the bottom afterwards.

I mounted the image on the same orange as the side strip then added two thin strips which I cut using deckle edge scissors. A few dashes and dots finished it off.

Now it is your turn to create something and link up with us for a chance to become our guest designer.

Bestie Anything goes

This week over at www.bestieschallenge.blogspot.co.uk anything goes so I decided to make a Christmas card (well you need to get going about now don't you). I used the little digi with wings again as she seemed to fit my idea.

This time I made a small fold back front card (I am sure it has a name!). I used some Nancy Watts free papers along with a die cut from my Cricut machine and a Craftwork Cards sentiment.
I coloured her in using Promarkers and on her wings I used fine glitter.

Thanks for looking in today.    Sue

Oh good you can see the glitter in this one.

Nana King

A couple of months a go I made a layout of one of my Nana's so this time the layout is of my other Nana.

My Nana King is my dad's mum. You know I think she always looked the same to me. She was always cuddly and her love of cooking rubbed off on me. She made the best pastry which in turn made the best mince pies at Christmas.

This layout uses a sheet of last years Xmas paper from Kaisercraft which I distressed the edges after punching down two sides and adding a contrasting red behind.

I used the same red to make the die cut flourishes and leaves and the mats behind the tag and circle. The idea to add the ticking came from a sketch on "pagemaps" a while ago, I also made the rosette with it too. The photos are all originals and the handsome gentleman is my Grandad who I didn't get to know. That is my son in the larger photo when she lived in a nursing home.

The crown had to be added to go with her name.......

Bestie challenge with wings

This week over at www.bestieschallenge.blogspot.uk  they would like you to make a card using one of her digi's with wings. As I only have the one I decided to do her in "Fall" colours.

The card is a little 5x5 and I have used papers which came free with a magazine a while back. I added some ribbon, gems and liquid pearls to finish it off. I also used a clear glitter pen on the edges of the wings which of course show up better in your hand.

Thanks for stopping by.      Sue
